Binance USDT futures fees
Standard rates per side for a regular account. Higher VIP levels pay less. Check your own rates in the Binance fee page.
| Order | Standard | Paid in BNB |
|---|---|---|
| Maker (limit order that waits in the book) | 0.0200% | 0.0180% |
| Taker (market order or limit that fills at once) | 0.0500% | 0.0450% |
What a round trip costs with leverage
Fees are charged on the position value, so leverage multiplies them against your margin. Entry and exit together, standard rates:
| Leverage | Taker in and out, % of margin | Maker in and out, % of margin |
|---|---|---|
| 1x | 0.10% | 0.04% |
| 5x | 0.50% | 0.20% |
| 10x | 1.00% | 0.40% |
| 20x | 2.00% | 0.80% |
| 50x | 5.00% | 2.00% |
| 100x | 10.00% | 4.00% |
| 125x | 12.50% | 5.00% |
How futures fees are calculated
Binance charges a fee on both the entry and the exit, as a share of the position value:
position value = margin x leverage
Example: 1,000 USDT margin at 20x is a 20,000 USDT position. With market orders in and out the fees are 20,000 x 0.05% x 2 = 20 USDT, 2% of the margin. Price has to move 0.1% in your favour just to cover them.
Maker vs taker
A maker order adds liquidity: a limit order that sits in the book until someone trades with it. A taker order removes liquidity: a market order, or a limit order priced to fill at once. Taker fees are 2.5 times the maker fee, so on frequent trades the order type matters more than the exchange.
How to pay less in fees
- Use limit orders when you are not in a hurry. Post-only makes sure the order never fills as taker.
- Pay fees in BNB for a 10% discount.
- Trade fewer, bigger moves. Many small scalps pay the round trip again and again.
- Remember funding: holding a position through funding payments costs or earns more than the fees over a few days.

FAQ
What are the fees on Binance futures?
For a regular account on USDT futures the standard rates are 0.02% for maker orders and 0.05% for taker orders, per side. Paying in BNB gives 10% off. VIP levels pay less.
Are fees charged on margin or on the position?
On the position value. A 100 USDT margin at 20x is a 2,000 USDT position, and the fee is taken from the 2,000.
Does Binance charge fees on both entry and exit?
Yes. You pay a fee when you open and again when you close. A partial close pays a fee on the closed part only.
How much does the price need to move to cover fees?
With taker orders in and out at standard rates, about 0.1% in your favour. With maker orders, about 0.04%. Leverage does not change this move, only how big the fees are compared to your margin.
Is funding a fee?
No. Funding is a payment between longs and shorts every few hours, not a fee to Binance. It can cost or earn money depending on the rate and your side.
A planning tool, not financial advice. Results are estimates; always check the numbers in your exchange order form. Leveraged futures carry high risk.
